Nashville Kangaroos appoint Cliff Cosnahan as coach

The Nashville Kangaroos are pleased to announce the appointment of Cliff “Nugget” Cosnahan as interim head coach. This is in addition to his recent appointment as football manager for the 2017 season.

Cosnahan has played 64 USAFL games for the Nashville Kangaroos since joining the team in 2009. In the past few years, he has developed a leading role in practice as well as on the playing field. Cosnahan has been leading goal kicker in each of the last three seasons, and now enters his third year on the Nashville Kangaroos board of directors.

“I am excited to announce the appointment of Cliff Cosnahan as interim head coach of the Nashville Kangaroos,” said Nashville Kangaroos president Jeff Persson. “This was a unanimous decision by the other directors, all of whom are very willing to provide assistance. With the deep football experience of this group, Cliff’s remarkable blend of skill and enthusiasm, and USA Revolution squad member John Freeman stepping up as fitness coach, we are very confident for 2017.”
