Wallabies win Metro Game 3.

Combined as the Nashville Kangaroos, the teams are very confident after another tournament victory. Divided into their respective local teams, it’s a different story. The Wallabies won by 30 points in Metro Game 2, so the Redbacks needed to make some changes.

The scores were even after an exhilarating first quarter. After only a single scoring shot in a very tightly played second quarter, the Redbacks led by a goal and were set to take control with the wind in the third quarter. However, the Wallabies were liberated as play opened up, and took the lead while kicking uphill and against the breeze. The Redbacks tightened up in the final quarter, but couldn’t bridge the gap despite inaccurate kicking by the Wallaby forwards.

Scores:

Wallabies 13.11 (89)
Redbacks 10.5 (65)

It was a perfect day to socialize, enjoy a competitive match, learn about footy and grab a bite to eat from Wanderland Urban Food Park. So perfect that the food trucks completely sold out of food!

The Nashville Kangaroos next host the Columbus Jackaroos at Elmington Park on Saturday, June 16, 2012 2:00pm.
