2017 Football Awards

On Saturday, 18th November 2017, members of Nashville Kangaroos, Inc. met at Homegrown Taproom & Marketplace to thank the 2017 Board of Directors for their much appreciated work, select directors for the 2018 Board, and present awards from the Nashville Kangaroos’ 20th season.

Jeff Persson, David Harris, Evan Ling and Tim Dunn were returned for another year. John Freeman was selected as a director for the first time. The new Board of Directors will soon meet to begin planning an exciting 21st season.

Following the Annual General Meeting, the Nashville Kangaroos enjoyed a social night to celebrate our outstanding teammates who earned awards during the 2017 season. Football awards were presented as follows:

Best and Fairest - David “Frosty” Harris, team captain who led from the front and provided a strong anchor at full back.
Best Clubman - Cliff Cosnahan, football manager and acting coach.
Leading Goalkicker - Nathan Caldwell, great hands and accurate kicking at full forward.
Best Newcomer - Brad Chamberlain, one of the best and most natural first year defenders we’ve ever seen.
Coach’s Award - Joel Thornton, did whatever he was asked to do and more.
