Allyson Todd Memorial 2010
On Saturday May 15th, the Nashville Kangaroos hosted the annual Allyson Todd Memorial Golf Tournament, played once again at Ravenwood Country Club in Hermitage, TN.
This year we decided to bring the event forward and miss the brutal summer heat of late June. Turns out that was a good call.
Fourty-eight players participated in the tournament, and except for a late afternoon downpour, the event went off without a hitch.
When all was said and done, we had two teams at 15 under par, and a scorecard playoff was required to determine the winner. The team of Jay Moore, Tom Moore, Robert Caldwell, and Robbie Caldwell were declared winners of the event. Coming in Runners-Up was the team of Rick "Taz" Laning, Marty "Gob on a Stick" Thompson, and the "Cracker Brothers" Ben Vaatstra and Anthony Verdouw.
The Long Drive was won by Adam Carter, and closest to the pin prize was won by Wayne Parker.
Every year in the past has been a successful event and this year was no different. The event raised $3,000, which will go to the Susan Komen Foundation, and the Nashville flood victims.
A big thank you goes out to Nick Parker for all your help with the event, Jeff Persson and Shane Clohesy for your team drives, and to Dave Ackley and Ross Flemming for all your help on the day.
We will see you all again in 2011!
